Multi-factor authentication also means trust. privacyIDEA offers several ways to store sensitive token data in an encrypted, secure manner, creating a strong trust anchor.
IT security company NetKnights releases version 3.7 of its professional multi-factor authentication software privacyIDEA. This provides reliable offline logon to Windows notebooks. In addition, the administrator can now ensure that users do not forget to scan the QR code with their smartphone when self-enrolling an OTP token. As of today the new version is available via the Python Package Index and in the community repositories for Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04 and 20.04.
Citrix Netscaler and ADC work perfectly with the multi factor authentication system privacyIDEA.
With the new release, the open source provider offers companies new flexible authentication mechanisms and means for very special requirements and usage scenarios. Among other things, users have more freedom in designing authentication workflows and using their own token types. Other features of privacyIDEA 3.4 include a new dashboard for a better overview of the system and an enhanced push token.
Companies more and more rely on cloud services. As a result, the number of accounts and the amount of login data are growing rapidly. However, if the number of user names and passwords continues to climb, interfaces and security risks will increase. Single sign-on with privacyIDEA therefore offers the option of centrally managing an identity in order to ensure enhanced security and flexibility.
We are proud to announce the release of privacyIDEA 3.0 today. With privacyIDEA 3.0, we are setting the course for a stable future.
The Multi-Factor Authentication system privacyIDEA 2.23 comes with PRE event handling, recurring tasks, monitoring and statistics. The administrator thus has a lot of tools, to automate unforeseen scenarios and avoid manuel, tedious tasks and avoid errors.
NetKnights will present privacyIDEA at the business fair it-sa. Effective new features are Pre-Event-Handling and Monitoring and Statistics, which allow the administrator to define very specific workflows and autormate tasks. You will find privacyIDEA at the stand of ownCloud in Hall 10.0-428 – adding enterprise grade 2FA to file sync and share.
