Nextcloud Plugin Version 1.2.0 is released

We are happy to inform you that we have released our privacyIDEA Nextcloud Plugin in Version 1.2.0.

Nextcloud Plugin Version 1.2.0 is now available!

we are pleased to announce that the privacyIDEA Nextcloud Plugin is now available in version 1.2.0.

New Features

  • New "Send Password" authentication flow: the Nextcloud login password is forwarded to privacyIDEA upfront, enabling authentication or challenge triggering without a separate prompt.
  • Configurable login input layout: choose between a single OTP field or separate Password/PIN and OTP fields.
  • Customizable placeholder hints for the OTP and Password/PIN login fields.

Enhancements

  • Added a client-side connection timeout so an unresponsive privacyIDEA server no longer hangs the login page.
  • Browser-based push polling is more responsive and no longer hangs on unexpected responses.
  • Declared compatibility with Nextcloud 32 and 33.
  • Restyled login form to match the Nextcloud design and improved accessibility (field labels, keyboard focus outlines).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed forwarding of configured request headers to the privacyIDEA server.
  • Fixed excluded-IP handling that could silently skip two-factor authentication for IPv6 clients or malformed/empty entries.
  • Hardened the login flow against empty or malformed server responses and edge cases that could produce a 500 error.
  • Fixed WebAuthn logins not forwarding the authenticator’s userHandle.
  • Fixed the WebAuthn token image not being displayed on the login screen.
  • Fixed a non-functional "Push" button being shown for push tokens using code_to_phone.
