The privacyIDEA Summit 2026

At the end of September, the third privacyIDEA Summit, hosted by NetKnights, took place in Kassel Wilhelmshöhe. The privacyIDEA Summit is an event for our customers that takes place once in a year in Kassel. It is a platform for exchange between our customers and us, accompanied by several presentations and talks.

It were two intensive and wonderful days with more than 20 NetKnights customers from Germany and Austria.

Wednesday kicked off with a warm greeting by Cornelius Kölbel, CEO and founder of NetKnights, followed by Isabelle Mühlhausen, Head of Sales & Marketing, who spoke about NetKnights, the company philosophy and vision.

The Summit also welcomed external speakers: Alexander Schwartz, Maintainer of Keycloak, shared valuable insights into Single Sign-On with Keycloak. Afterwards, Nils Behlen, Head of Development at NetKnights, gave an exclusive preview of the upcoming privacyIDEA version 3.14 and the further development roadmap.

After a day full of impressions, the evening rounded off with a joint dinner, which was a great opportunity to continue the conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.

The second day of the Summit opened with a very special customer case study: A Decade of privacyIDEA at the University of Marburg. This was followed by Thomas Stahl from Yubico, who spoke about YubiKeys & FIDO2. The third talk of the day was delivered by our colleague Lucas Scholz, Head of Professional Services, on the topic of hybrid authentication with privacyIDEA.

What makes our Summit particularly valuable is the direct exchange with our customers. It sparks great conversations and important impulses.

A heartfelt thank you to all attendees, our external speakers Alexander Schwartz and Thomas Stahl, Lars Heimburger, who represented the IT-Netzwerk Nordhessen, and Christine Brinkmann for the wonderful photographic coverage!
