privacyIDEA Keycloak Provider version 1.5.0 released

NetKnights GmbH releases the privacyIDEA Keycloak plugin in version 1.5.0.

With this update, new functions have been added and existing features improved:

Support for passkey tokens:
The plugin now supports passkeys including the possibility to register them via a multi-challenge. The use of passkeys also makes it possible to log in without entering a user name.

Passwordless authentication:
With this new version, passwordless authentication is possible in principle – even independently of Passkeys.

Flexible authentication processes:
The option has been created to query and check the user name and password directly in the first step. This means that it is no longer mandatory to have already requested the user name or password before using the plugin – however, this remains optional. In addition, the password check can be deactivated to enable even more flexible authentication processes.

Improved configuration options:
The default texts for OTP have been removed. Texts can now be customized individually in the “theme-resources/messages” directory.
Configuration options have been added to define custom headers and individual HTTP timeouts.

Version 1.5.0 has been successfully tested with Keycloak version 22 and higher.
