privacyIDEA Authenticator App

The privacyIDEA Authenticator App saves information about the enrolled token. This information was contained in the QR code during enrollment. These information can be username, email address, given name, surname. The app does not send these or any other data to any other location.

The app requires Internet access. This is only used during the rollout of a push token and during the use of a push token. When using a push token, the Google Firebase Service or the Apple Notification Service is used. In addition to a cryptographic challenge, the token’s serial number is also sent via the services. The token serial number can be regarded as a personally identifiable data.

The camera is only used to scan the QR codes. No images are saved by the camera.
