NetKnights GmbH releases version 3.6.0 of the privacyIDEA Credential Provider and version 4.4.0 of the privacyIDEA Authenticator. For both components new features have been added and existing functions have been improved.
Credential Provider
Accompanying the release of privacyIDEA 3.10, a new version of the Credential Provider was also released. This now also supports WebAuthn offline tokens. Furthermore, from this version of the Credential Provider it is possible to use WebAuthn via NFC and to switch off the PIN request during login.
Authenticator App
In version 4.4.0 of the privacyIDEA Authenticator App, the token import function has been further improved. At the same time, it is now possible to export imported tokens from the app.
In addition, a “Require Presence” feature for PUSH tokens has been introduced, which is especially relevant for our upcoming privacyIDEA 3.10 release. With this feature, one of three options must be selected in the app to accept the login. The correct answer to be selected is displayed during the respective login process in privacyIDEA. Furthermore, the scanability of QR codes from image files has been improved and additional import sources have been added.
Availability
The Credential Provider can be downloaded directly from Github. The latest version of the Authenticator app can be found in the Apple Store or Google Playstore, depending on your operating system.
