IT security company NetKnights releases version 3.5 of its professional multi-factor authentication software privacyIDEA. For the first time, this enables users to also use smartcards. A second main feature is to require multiple users to log in for accounts that require special protection.
With the new release, the open source provider offers companies new flexible authentication mechanisms and means for very special requirements and usage scenarios. Among other things, users have more freedom in designing authentication workflows and using their own token types. Other features of privacyIDEA 3.4 include a new dashboard for a better overview of the system and an enhanced push token.
