Since securing remote access to VPN gateways such as Citrix Gateway (“Netscaler”) is one of the most common use cases for professionals, we decided to have a setup with Netscaler and privacyIDEA officially tested by Citrix.
Citrix Netscaler and ADC work smoothly with the multi factor authentication system privacyIDEA
In this scenario privacyIDEA is connected via the standard RADIUS protocol. privacyIDEA can return successful authentication, challenges or also group memberships back to Citrix Netscaler. The privacyIDEA plugin for the FreeRADIUS server acts as a translator between RADIUS and the privacyIDEA API.
