privacyIDEA at FOSDEM 2025 in Brussels
At the beginning of February, our team traveled to Brussels to present our open source solution privacyIDEA at FOSDEM. FOSDEM is an annual conference dedicated to open source software and takes place once a year in Brussels.
Our journey began on Friday in Kassel with the best weather, and we finally reached our destination in the evening. There we met up with the rest of our exhibition team. After a quick check-in at our hotel, we had dinner together and got in the mood for the upcoming trade fair.
Saturday started early for the Early Bird team: at 08:00 we made our way to the University of Brussels, where FOSDEM was taking place. After setting up our stand, we got straight to work – visitors streamed into the buildings and to our booth. We were overwhelmed by the huge interest in privacyIDEA! So much so that Team Marketing had to reprint flyers without further ado – let someone say that flyers are out! But luckily we are just as flexible as our solution and were able to get supplies quickly.
Highly motivated and with fresh flyers, we started the second day of the fair, which was a little quieter than Saturday. Nevertheless, we still had the opportunity on this day to inform many people about privacyIDEA and introduce them to our project.
We are very happy about the positive feedback we received at FOSDEM and are already looking forward to the next time. But for now, we are taking a little break and are looking forward to the next trade fair: In March, it’s time for “California, here we come”, when we will be exhibiting and sponsoring at SCaLE22x in Pasadena!
We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our motivated and dedicated privacyIDEA team, who rocked the trade fair – without you, none of this would have been possible!
